Theatrics Stage School - About Us

Principals Adam & Nicky Wright

With over twenty years experience in show business as professional entertainers, Principals Adam and Nicky Wright have traveled the world performing their musical speciality act in theatres on land and at sea. They have also both appeared in various television and theatre productions. Originally trained at the Italia Conti Stage School in London, Adam and Nicky, now based in Lichfield, established Theatrics stage school in 2003, a wonderful concept in performing arts training with the emphasis on fun.

Having been professional performers, Adam and Nicky understand the importance of disciplined training through syllabus work, but feel that some young performers, especially beginners, respond well to a less rigid format where the emphasis is on performance rather than exams. This approach, coupled with the BTDA curriculum, shapes the foundation for our basic principal:'Fun in Performance'.

Our dynamic team of teachers and coaches come from all aspects of the professional Theatre and Television and motivate and encourage the students at all levels.

BTDA

Theatrics is proud to be a member of the British Theatre Dance Association (BTDA), recognised by the council for dance education and training registration board.

Theatrics Rewards

Each year a student spends at Theatrics is celebrated with a special achievement medal, to reward hard work and dedication.

At the end of the Summer term every student (in the 7 – 16 age range) is invited to nominate a classmate for an Oscar and the student with the most votes wins the Oscar prize for their class.

The teachers and principals also select a ‘Student of the Year’ from across the whole school, who will receive the ‘Jim Brochu’ Award for their attitude & commitment, class work and development (in all three performance disciplines), plus their teamwork and ability to interact with fellow students.
