About Us
With over twenty years experience in show business as professional entertainers, Principals Adam and Nicky Wright have travelled the world performing their musical speciality act in theatres on land and at sea. They have also both appeared in various television and theatre productions. Originally trained at the Italia Conti Stage School in London, Adam and Nicky, now based in Lichfield, established Theatrics Stage School in 2003, a wonderful concept in performing arts training which is fun but engages the interest of young performers.
With a dynamic team of professional teachers and coaches from all aspects of the professional Theatre and Television world Adam and Nicky’s goal is to motivate and encourage their students at all levels.

Theatrics is proud to be a member of the B.T.D.A. recognised by the council for dance education and training registration board.
Theatrics Rewards
Each year a student spends at Theatrics is celebrated with a special achievement medal, to reward hard work and dedication.
At the end of the Summer term every student (in the 7 – 14 age range) is invited to nominate a classmate for an Oscar and the student with the most votes wins the Oscar prize for their class.
The teachers and principals also select a ‘Student of the Year’ from
across the whole school, who will receive an award for their attitude & commitment,
class work and development (in all three performance disciplines), plus their
teamwork and ability to interact with fellow students.
Theatrics Shows and Credits
Millennium Follies (2005 / 2006)
A large scale production show based on the music of different eras from
the caveman up to the Millennium, performed by three casts of 120 students from age 4 – 15.
Around The World For A Song (2007 / 2008)
Our second large scale production featured indigenous and evocative music from different countries, performed by three casts of 120 from age 4 – 16.
Shine (2009 / 2010)
Our third large production written specifically for the students as a musical, featuring original dialogue staged around well know show tunes and hip hop dances.
The Big Picture (2011 / 2012)
Our fourth theatre based show concentrated on music that has appeared in film either written specifically as a score, or an existing song used in a soundtrack. All age groups were included from Perfromance and Stage Kidz as well as Street Dance and Advanced dance groups.
Multiplicity & True Colours
Recording a C.D. The whole school participated in the production of these CD’s, each class recorded a song, Multiplicity was released in 2006, True Colours in 2011.
Aladdin & Dick Whittington
Our pantomimes were a big hit with students and families alike. (oh no they weren’t – oh yes they were!!)
Summer School Performances
Have included: A Trip To The Beach / A Chorus Line / Copacabana / Dreamgirls / St Trinians / Wicked - Mamma Mia - Sister Act / Grease (2010) and Beauty & The Beast (2011). Our Summer School generally runs during the first full week of the summer holidays for five days.
Other themes that we have studied and performed in workshops include: The Magic of the Musicals / A Night at the Oscars / High School Musical / Radio Days / Grease / Les Miserable Peter Pan / Mary Poppins / Reality TV / Oliver / Hairspray / Bugsy Malone / We Will Rock You Christmas Crackers / Summer Holiday / Annie / Legally Blonde / Glee.

Calm on the surface and paddling furiously underneath! The amount of time and effort that goes into the shows is fantastic.
The children do enjoy it, you can see on their faces and the confidence it gives Matthew, I can't put into words, he is a different child on stage.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves and loved ever minute of it all and felt sad when it was all over and that it would be two years before we go through it all again (that will come round to quick)! Wow! I just loved it tonight, all of those smiling children said it all! Both Billy and I had tears rolling down our cheeks as Lily sang her heart out with the cast in the finale. Lily had a ball and she has come on so much, we couldn't believe her focus! Yet again we are delighted that we choose for her to go to Theatrics. I love everything that it stands for. You both have worked so hard and it showed tonight in the wonderful show. I hope next weekend goes well for you. We can't wait for Beth to join, I loved the little ones so much! As grandparents of Charlotte, Emma and Hattie Rumsey we were privileged to attend ‘Around the World for a Song’ last Saturday. We live in Broadstairs, some 230 miles from Lichfield, and would even travel much further to support our family. We anticipated the usual ‘end of term play’ but how wrong we were. The whole show was truly fantastic. Full of vitality, energy, fun and happiness. The youngest to the other end of the spectrum, were, to a person, so enthusiastic, so well dressed, so well trained and rehearsed we can only marvel at the standards you helped them all achieve.
