With over twenty years experience in show business as professional entertainers, Principals Adam and Nicky Wright have travelled the world performing their musical speciality act in theatres on land and at sea. They have also both appeared in various television and theatre productions. Originally trained at the Italia Conti Stage School in London, Adam and Nicky, now based in Lichfield, established Theatrics Stage School in 2003, a wonderful concept in performing arts training which is fun but engages the interest of young performers.

With a dynamic team of professional teachers and coaches from all aspects of the professional Theatre and Television world Adam and Nicky's goal is to motivate and encourage their students at all levels.

British Theatre Dance Association

Theatrics is proud to be a member of the B.T.D.A. recognised by the council for dance education and training registration board.

Theatrics Rewards

Each year a student spends at Theatrics is celebrated with a special achievement medal or Trophy, to reward their hard work dedication, and progress.

At the end of the Summer term every student (in the 7 – 14 age range) is invited to nominate a classmate for an Oscar trophy, based on a variety of criteria: hard work, improvement, a particular performance or general teamwork during class. The student with the most votes wins the Oscar prize for their class.

The teachers and principals also select a ‘Student of the Year’ from across the whole school, who will receive an award for their attitude & commitment, class work and development (in all three performance disciplines), plus their teamwork and ability to interact with fellow students.

Here is a small selection of the tributes received by Theatrics ....

Caroline Ellis

The shows at the weekend were quite FANTASTIC. You enable all ages of children to shine and belong to something important. Truly marvellous, George LOVED it. You are a sensationally professional couple yet always have time for each and every person. Amazing. Thank you!

Kim Shaw

Firstly, WOW, what a fabulous show! The children enjoyed it SO much, t hey had a fabulous time. I'm so glad you do what you do!

Chris Jones

I would guess after such a high weekend you will be very weary this morning. The ointment has to be the joy you have made possible for the hundreds of children, parents, and families in and around Lichfield, who like my family and me will have memories to last for a lifetime. The pleasure Katie and I have received seeing Amy's confidence and abilities grow over the years are indescribable. We now have double pleasure with Emma joining the Theatrics Family.

Sally and Simon Fleet

As grandparents of Charlotte, Emma and Hattie Rumsey we were privileged to attend 'Around the World for a Song' last Saturday. We live in Broadstairs, some 230 miles from Lichfield, and would even travel much further to support our family. We anticipated the usual 'end of term play' but how wrong we were. The whole show was truly fantastic. Full of vitality, energy, fun and happiness. The youngest to the other end of the spectrum, were, to a person, so enthusiastic, so well dressed, so well trained and rehearsed we can only marvel at the standards you helped them all achieve.

Caroline Hudson
